The drivers and lot supervisors at broadway cab are good people who give good service to the customers, but the people who run the company, Steve Hext the Operations Manager and Raye Miles, the president and general manager are shallow people who think it is okay to make up reasons to let a driver return to work and hide behind them to disguise their real reasons for not letting me come back to work there.\r
I was a good driver, who got very few complaints in a business where just about everybody received the occasional complaint and who never failed to pay the lease they made us pay every week to drive there. \r
Yet, after leaving for a couple of months to recover from back surgery, waiting a couple of extra months due to a bad economy and no cabs available, I was told I couldn't come back due to numerous complaints in my file making me look like a loose cannon by Mr. Hext. After requesting a copy of my file from Miss Miles 3 times, I finally received it and found only 1 valid complaint, which by itself does not make me seem like a loose cannon, or every driver would be one and nobody would be able to come back. \r
I am what is considered obese and I feel that Mr. Hext just didn't want someone like me to work at Broadway, even though it had no bearing on my ability to do the job and they always got their money from me and as my file indicated, I did not receive numerous complaints. But he had to make up some reason to keep me from returning and even after appealing to Raye Miles to review the file and reconsider my request to come back there, I was ignored and forgotten about. No room in this economy for such shallowness and bad treatment.
Pros: Good drivers and lot supervisors, good customer service
Cons: Management is shallow and unfair in how they treat obese employees
