After a heart attack a year ago, I have been working very hard to lose weight, and my wardrobe is in constant transition. Fortunately, a co-worker suggested that I try Sew Special--which happens to be just a block or two from my condo. I have to say that my experience has been very consistent and very good. In a world where hand tailoring and a sense of style are increasingly rare, the owner of this family run business has both in abundance. They do good work, they care about their customers, they meet their promise dates, and their prices are reasonable. This place has already saved me a fortune--and made me feel better about myself. How do you beat that?
Pros: These people know what looks good and they have the skill to do it
Cons: Parking is obviously a problem, and they do get pretty busy at peak times
