I purchased an aquarium from a friend and spent the better part of last Saturday moving the aquarium and the fish. After just a few hours in the tank all the fish looked like they were in shock. The filter was not pumping any water. I went to a chain store with the filter and asked for help. I did not purchase the filter there but I was in a bit of a panic. They wanted a water sample (which i forgot) and tried to sell me 5 different bottles of Declor and Slime Coat, etc. I told them that the filter wasn't working and they told me that they did not sell that model so they could not help me. They recommended a new one. I left and drove to Sensational Pets to see about maybe getting my filter fixed. The guy that helped me got the filter running and explained what had happened. He also asked for a water sample but when I said I forgot it he continued to help me. He gave me some strips so that I could check the water when I got home and told me what to do if the water was bad. Wow what service. Fixed my filter No Charge, gave me test strips to save me a trip back to the store, and the guy stayed 15 minutes after closing to make sure I was set.
