Yesterday morning I signed up with StarTex Power by internet for the reasonable rate of 11.6? per KWH for 12 months. Later that same day, my apartment arrangement fell through, so I cancelled my electricity. Today I'm told I'll be charged for three days of service even though the service was never connected. Yea, you read that right! FYI, service was initially scheduled to begin tomorrow. The billing person was VERY insistent. I MUST PAY FOR THREE DAYS, PERIOD. Pros: 11.6? per KWH sounds good up front, but beware of these guys, BEWARE! Cons: Terrible ""customer service"", if you can call it that. more
