Dr. James Cowan, III is an excellent Pediatrician. He came highly recommended by two people that I trust and respect. He is very thorough and patient with his little babies. He's also very patient with 1st time parents. Before I had my daughter, I had a consulation meeting with Dr. Cowan. One of the questions that I asked him was how does he deal with/handle 1st time, over anxious, panicky parents. He said that he's very patient and gentle with them, just like he is with his babies. That was no lie! I called Dr. Cowan's office a million times about my daughter and each time, he and his staff were very patient with me and assured me that everthing was okay. I really needed that support and reassurance from them. Dr. Cowan is very, very smart and knowledgeable. He knows his medical stuff. He's gonna give you a detailed, well explained explanation about what's wrong with your child and how to fix it. He is an awesome doctor.
Pros: Dr. Cowan is the best Pediatrician in Memphis
Cons: Waiting room time is very long, but it's worth it. The quality of care is excellent.
