Oyster Bay is a quiet town, so I'm not suprised that this restaurant isn't well know by people who aren't close to town. Il Piatto has consistantly good food. The steaks are on my favorites list. Diego the bartender is excellent and will give you the best recommendation for dinner. If you haven't tried it yet, put it on your list. Regarding thr reviews about bad service, you can get a bad or a new waiter in any restaurant on any given day. Personally, I've never had a problem with service here....and they do get some great bands here too.
Pros: Quaint restaurant, good streaks, good music after 9:30
Cons: Bartender could use some help when they get a huge crowd in for popular bands
