The Rush Fitness Center is okay, but the temperature of a gym should be warm to provide maximum flexibility and comfort. Whether it is winter or summer, the Rush is always chilly. In the summer, they crank the air conditioner and in the winter they won't run the heat much. And to make it extremely bad, there is a huge fan blowing down on the people working out so that when you are sweating you get a chill. My muscles, tendons, and ligaments never really get warmed up and fully stretched out in there. It is not just the Hixson location, either. The owner seems think the Big A** Fans are way cool, even though they are really goofy. It's like when someone tries too hard and you just feel embarrassed for them.
Pros: Good weights and machines, good hours, and good non-lifting facilities. Reasonable monthly rates.
Cons: Downtown parking is only for 2 hours which is not enough.
