My 10 year old boxer recently had 5 seizures between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. He had 4 seizures before we arrived at the clinic and one while waiting. When we arrived at the clinic, our boxer could not move his back legs and had no recognition. We went there fully expecting that he would be put down and not have his pain prolonged. The hospital recommended that we hospitalize him for a cost of $600-$800. I asked if he could be treated at home until he could be seen by his vet. We were sent home with sedatives and valium for the seizures. My dog passed away during the night before he could be seen by his vet. I believe his pain was prolonged and that he was never going to recover. He could not move his legs and did not recognize us. I believe the After Hours clinic should have suggested that we put him not not hospitalize. I believe they wanted to hospitalize him only to charge the $600-$800 dollars. As it is we paid over $200 to take him home. I am going to ask my vet not to advertise this place. more
