I have used this pet ER several times over the years as I have 2 dogs and I treat them like kids. Earlier this month, my English Bulldog was sick and I knew something was very wrong. So on a late Friday night, loaded him up and off to the ER. I called first so when we rang the doorbell we were greeted and they knew, they immediately took back my bulldog to start him on oxygen. Within 5 minutes we were ask if we wanted CPR, we declined as we expected this was the end on the drive over. The vet took us to a private room and advised us of what happened. Everyone there was very nice and great to us as we just lost a member of our family. They arranged for the cremation with a known crematory. They sent us a card for our loss and within 4 days called us and told us the ashes were there and whenever we were ready, they would have them. Even when we went to get the ashes the lady at the front remembered us and handled it so we wouldnt have to tell anyone why we were there. They are great, passionate, and caring for animals. My 10 year old boxer recently had 5 seizures between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. He had 4 seizures before we arrived at the clinic and one while waiting. When we arrived at the clinic, our boxer could not move his back legs and had no recognition. We went there fully expecting that he would be put down and not have his pain prolonged. The hospital recommended that we hospitalize him for a cost of $600-$800. I asked if he could be treated at home until he could be seen by his vet. We were sent home with sedatives and valium for the seizures. My dog passed away during the night before he could be seen by his vet. I believe his pain was prolonged and that he was never going to recover. He could not move his legs and did not recognize us. I believe the After Hours clinic should have suggested that we put him not not hospitalize. I believe they wanted to hospitalize him only to charge the $600-$800 dollars. As it is we paid over $200 to take him home. I am going to ask my vet not to advertise this place. more

I return home from work late one evening to find my beloved 4 yr old Golden Retriever Josey has been run over by a car. She is limping b/c her right front arm is totally degloved!!! I called my regular veterinarians phone and was instantly transfered to the After Hours Pet ER. I rushed her over and was greeted by a very lovely receptionist who was very helpful. My dog was immediately taken back and x-rays were taken. I was informed that she had also broken her arm.. To make a long story short.. She went into surgery immediately, Dr. Mitch Rosenwieg performed the surgery. I decided to wait it the waiting area until Josey was out of surgery. I was very surprised that when the surgery was over Dr. Mitch himself came out to talk to me and inform me that everything went very smoothly and Josey will make a full recovery!!! I greatly appreciate Dr. Mitchs sincerity and his personal attention to my pet. The staff at the After Hours Pet ER were absolutely amazing.Thank You Thank You all! Great staff of caring individuals who will treat your pet as you do-a member of the family! Great when you need someone to call in the event your vet is not available. Would definitely recommend! Pros: veterinarian, value, caring Cons: west knoxville locale more
