Before I moved my family acrossed the US, they had promised my husband that they would find us a home to rent no matter what our situation (credit, rental history, or animals that we may have). They said worst case scenario, we might have to pay a larger security deposit. We had money for that, no problem. Moved the family down here believing that we would be in a house no time. Found a couple of houses that we liked, but you are only allowed to apply for one house at a time. We soon found out how slow they work. The approval of your pets and application is based on the home owners. I can understand that, but their only contact with the home owners is through email. This takes a long time to get questions answered. We were only allowed to focus on one house at a time, so by the time we got our questions answered, bent over backwards to get all the info they needed, found out that we weren't accepted. This was two and a half weeks later. We had to stay in a hotel the entire time. There goes our security deposit money! A week later, they called us back and said that they would accept us with an extra security deposit. Sorry, spent it on staying in a hotel for three weeks. They then decided to look into other homes for us. Every time I would call there, my name would have to be attached to a property address even after I got denied. Then the lady would always be on another line and would never return my phone calls. The only time we heard from her is when she wanted something from us. I know that things could work faster in the realestate world because we decided to work with Amy Langstone from Carolina One. She worked her butt off for us and got questions answered within a short time. She found a couple of homes that would accept us with an extra security deposit, which got spent on staying in hotels waiting on Miler. We are now stuck staying in a run down apartment complex (the only one in town that will accept a 130lb english mastiff).
Pros: Nice properties
Cons: Slow process
