My experience has been fine with the company, but I'm pretty laid back. They've taken care of whatever I needed, and seemed to be genuine about it. They all have been very nice, and in the end, that's the type of people I like doing business with.\r \r more

I recommend Miler all the time, and everyone has been happy with the company. Must be a reason why they have been ranked one of top property management companies in the Charleston area! more

Prompt & Exceptional 10/25/2011

How are you? I have a property in Summerville for about 9 years. I have been with Miler Properties for about 7 of those years. I had had two managers, Susan and Jeanene. Both were exceptional in their service, promptness of payment and keeping up with repairs. Additionally, I have had some very hard financial hardships personally and they worked with me to pay those repairs like dividing up the payments in installments. Its a rough market in investment homes and they they really strive to help the owner yet are nice to the tenants and respectful. They will fight for you if a tenant damages your home and attempt to get payment. One of my last tenants damaged my ac unit and they did get the money from them. I give them 5 stars out of 5. The communication is good too. Lisa more

Definitely in top echelon 10/25/2011

I have 9 properties they manage for me in the Charleston area (Summerville). I have used them for the last 5 years. I have visited their office on several occasions and they have always treated me well. The check arrives consistently on or about the same date each month, can not say that with all of the managers. As with all things in real estate nothing goes perfect all the time. I deal with probably a dozen different property managers ans they are definitely in the top echelon. I think you will do with them. Edward J. Synicky more

Friendly and very professional 10/25/2011

Miler has been managing several of my properties for 3-4 years now and I am very satisfied. They're ability to find good, qualified tenants in a timely manner has made my life so much easier that it would be hard to describe. I have been especially impressed by their positive, can-do attitude (I know it's cliche) and their ability to move tenants in and out efficiently and thoroughly. Since they started with me, there have been a few non-paying tenants (but not many) and they handled them promptly without my involvement. As for repairs, I do about half of them myself. So when there's a problem they call me and I make the decision whether to call someone in or not. Mostly they call in their plumber or electrician and the jobs have been done promptly and at a reasonable cost. Another thing that I like about them is their low turnover. I've been dealing with the same people since the beginning and it's really nice. Would I hire them again? Absolutely! more

Miler is UNPROFESSIONAL 8/21/2010

Where to start... The lady Beth that answers the phone is the most rude person I have ever dealt with and I am a local business owner and was shocked they had someone so unprofessional working there. If I overheard anyone of my employees speak to people the way she does it would be immediate dismissal. Debbie never returns phone calls and is so inconsistent she tells you one thing and does another. I pay a large amount of rent for a gorgeous house but have to deal with such unprofessional people that we are looking to move out ASAP strictly because of having to deal with them. Mt wife and I hate having to bring the rent in monthly because it sickens us to having to do business with them. I am considering letting the home owner know what kind of people are managing their property. They only get one star because you can't leave it blank! more

super folks 8/3/2010

love working with these first class folks...they went out of their way to make sure that I received the best service possible for my family...you can tell that they have a strong sense of community pride and involvement Pros: product knowledge/experienced agents/quality homes Cons: communication response time more

Liars, Liars Liars!!!! 9/15/2008

I sent my wife to Charleston, SC four weeks ago in search of a home to rent for our family. The home she found was managed by Miler Properties. After they told her there was a $60 application fee I decided to talk to them personally. Since we had credit trouble I asked them if the application fee was refundable because if we were to be rejected then I would have to keep shelling out application fees. They informed me that they deal with credit problems all the time and that in the worst case scenario we might have to pay a double security deposit. So based on that we moved our family to Charleston. After we arrived the problems with Miler began. We spent the next three weeks staying in hotels at $70 per night and jumping through hoops for Miler but to no avail. Now they were singing a different tune. They couldn't get us a home and had no memory of what they had told us in the beginning. In the meantime my wife, our two infant boys, and I are stuck in Charleston (having already spent $2000 in hotels, food, and incidentals) without a place to live and much worse off than we were before we left Michigan. more

Slowest Company EVER! 9/15/2008

Before I moved my family acrossed the US, they had promised my husband that they would find us a home to rent no matter what our situation (credit, rental history, or animals that we may have). They said worst case scenario, we might have to pay a larger security deposit. We had money for that, no problem. Moved the family down here believing that we would be in a house no time. Found a couple of houses that we liked, but you are only allowed to apply for one house at a time. We soon found out how slow they work. The approval of your pets and application is based on the home owners. I can understand that, but their only contact with the home owners is through email. This takes a long time to get questions answered. We were only allowed to focus on one house at a time, so by the time we got our questions answered, bent over backwards to get all the info they needed, found out that we weren't accepted. This was two and a half weeks later. We had to stay in a hotel the entire time. There goes our security deposit money! A week later, they called us back and said that they would accept us with an extra security deposit. Sorry, spent it on staying in a hotel for three weeks. They then decided to look into other homes for us. Every time I would call there, my name would have to be attached to a property address even after I got denied. Then the lady would always be on another line and would never return my phone calls. The only time we heard from her is when she wanted something from us. I know that things could work faster in the realestate world because we decided to work with Amy Langstone from Carolina One. She worked her butt off for us and got questions answered within a short time. She found a couple of homes that would accept us with an extra security deposit, which got spent on staying in hotels waiting on Miler. We are now stuck staying in a run down apartment complex (the only one in town that will accept a 130lb english mastiff). Pros: Nice properties Cons: Slow process more
