The criticisms I've read are totally off-base!. I've been to several other wine bars/bistros throughout the state (Village Cork in Denver, Bistro Al Vino in Aurora, Samplings in Reisco, etc.) and Vines compares favorably to all of them. It is a beautiful place with terrific food and a wine list which is truly superb. Boring wine? Limited selection?? That is an absolute untruth! For instance, I was unable to get a Super Tuscan, Carmenere, or a dry Rose at any of the other places I've visited. I not only found them at Vines, but had a selection of excellent wines for each.
