Staff was unprofessional, like walking into a highschool 8/12/2008

I'll admit it, I've had great experiences with my eye doctor, Dr. Brad Cobb in Bartlesville. Professional atomosphere, friendly, knowledgable staff, individual attention from the doctor and the office staff. They're a great group. BUT, I moved to Tulsa and my vision insurance isn't one that Dr. Cobb accepts, so I called Dr. Zoellner and made an appointment. The girl on the phone was sweet and friendly, I wish I could remember her name because I'd give her 5 stars. But the staff that was there on the day of my appointment was anything but. The doctor, Dr. Long, did a good job, very nice, impersonal, rushed, but nice. But the STAFF!!! They were like a bunch of puppies! I'm guessing the average age was 19, and I get that 19 is not the most professional time in a person's life, but this is a ""Dr's office"", is it not? (Is it??? I'm really not sure...) I was disappointed with my experience there. The kid who took me back and did the prelim exam was too busy flirting with the girl at the front desk to pay attention to what was going on with my ""eye exam"" if you could call it that, and not one of the ""techs"" smiled at me or asked how my day was going, they were all messing around like it was recess or something. I'm a big believer in professional service and friendliness going a long way. Dr. Zoellner's is obviously a business first, medical facility second, and that being the case I would think that customer service would be at the top of his list. If you're looking for a good eye doctor, go somewhere else, if you just need a new pair of sunglasses and want to pay too much, by all means, go see ""Dr. Z"". Pros: quick exam, extended office hours Cons: unprofessional atmosphere, prices elsewhere are better more
