What kind of butter is this? 8/12/2008

We visited the Cherry Crest Market and Restaurant for the first time on Saturday [8/9]. The Saturday Night Special Lobster is delightful and a super bargain. The salad is cold and crisp with the lemon pepper dressing. The small cob of corn and the non-descript rice sides are unnecessary and not at all mentionable we asked for and received a side of sliced tomatoes as I do not eat rice. The rolls are fine and they are served with REAL butter. On the other hand, the supposed drawn butter served with the lobster is actually BUTTER FLAVORED SHORTNING [i.e. Crisco]. The color alone should have been a dead giveaway?it was bright sunflower yellow, not the soft pale yellow of butter. It?s simply awful. When I asked our server what it was, she had no idea but she would ask?she didn?t. I asked again when she brought our check and she got the bus boy to explain. Unfortunately, he spoke almost no English so this was a waste of time too. The only info I got from this fellow was that this is some sort of ?butter blend? which is maybe butter but not really? WHAT????? We will go again to the Cherry Crest for lobster but I will ask for REAL DRAWN BUTTER not a sorta butter flavored shortning blend. Pros: The Saturday Special Cons: Melted Crisco in place of butter more
