I was a Patti's student for 11 years and a competition student for 10. I was in the same class as all of the girls described in the incident when all of the people left. What people don't realize is that the people that left were the ones that were causing all of the drama and all of the clickiness at the studio. I stayed there after those people left and only saw the studio get better. The people that remained grew even closer as friends, and I felt much more comfortable in an environment without the intense competition that these girls needlessly brought to the studio. Also, the statement that people are unable to get dance jobs in the real world after attending Patti's is completely false. We have numerous people as dancers and cheerleaders for different sports teams, someone with a job as a dancer with a cruise line, and I myself was in a parade at a major amusement park this summer. Many people who go here don't necessarily want a job in the business. But those who do are certainly well equipped with dance technique and education and are able to make a living in the business.
Pros: Wonderful teachers with a variety of techniques, the freedom to do other activities as well as dance
