Great recreation studio 3/29/2012

I am so happy to find this studio. My children are happy and have fun. I am a teacher by trade and I can honestly say the teachers are the best. They are warm and caring and mymkids love returning week after week. my daughters leave the studio feeling like they are are the dancers ever and can reach any dream! What more can a mom ask for. A big thank you to Patti and her staff for having a positive impact on our family. more

Dance Center? 2/23/2011

I used to dance here. I danced there for about 5-6 years. It was gross, and not a very good teaching expierience. They didn't tell you any of the dances mobves you were doing, just a vague explination of how to do it. The teachers were unproffesional and unexpierienced. My last year there before I switch to ""Step By Step"" in Medway, my teachers were College students from across the street. They weren't good dancers and our dances were not good in any way. If you are serious about dancing, stay away. If you don't really care about dance and do not see yourself doing it for a while, keep searching because there are a lot of other studios out there. Also, when I was there, the studio was condemed at one point. They said that they fixed the problems that summer, but who know for sure. more

Patti Eisenhauer's 11/11/2010

""Cleaning house"" can be hard but it's always for the good of things. I judge throughout the US. Patti's students match the best anywhere. I am a ""competitor"", a professional acquaintance who has been in her studio. She has an educated, experienced faculty who consistently earn awards/recognition. If you seek a studio that is welcoming, provides master class and other opportunities, earns recognition for talent and quality of work consistently and are heads above studios in the area, I recommend Patti's.1% of dancers at a studio MIGHT be able to turn professional. Face it, StephD, your daughter wasn't good enough. I hate ignorant, jealous posters. more

losing perspective on review of this studio? 9/15/2008

Ummmm- What has happened with this review of this dance center? Seems that people are losing the perspective as to why this studio is being reviewed. What about commenting on the studio itself as far as teachers, choreography, etc? Seems like some people are more interested in bashing the owner than anything else. I would like to hear more on the studio as far as teachers, choreography, etc and NOT personal issues. Pros: None more

Another First Hand Opinion 8/20/2008

I was a Patti's student for 11 years and a competition student for 10. I was in the same class as all of the girls described in the incident when all of the people left. What people don't realize is that the people that left were the ones that were causing all of the drama and all of the clickiness at the studio. I stayed there after those people left and only saw the studio get better. The people that remained grew even closer as friends, and I felt much more comfortable in an environment without the intense competition that these girls needlessly brought to the studio. Also, the statement that people are unable to get dance jobs in the real world after attending Patti's is completely false. We have numerous people as dancers and cheerleaders for different sports teams, someone with a job as a dancer with a cruise line, and I myself was in a parade at a major amusement park this summer. Many people who go here don't necessarily want a job in the business. But those who do are certainly well equipped with dance technique and education and are able to make a living in the business. Pros: Wonderful teachers with a variety of techniques, the freedom to do other activities as well as dance more

Best dance education anywhere! 7/21/2008

My daughter has been dancing at Patti's for 12 years. She started out in a preschool class and spent about 5 years in recreational classes. She joined the competition team about 7 years ago and, needless to say, it is a huge part of her life. It is incredible how much she has grown as a dancer, team mate and most importantly as a person! All of the teachers love kids and the art of dance. I'm always amazed how well they know their students and can always figure out how to motivate the kids to do their personal best. Among my daughter's team mates she has found close friends that stand by her through thick and thin. She loves to dance and we're so happy that we found the best place on the planet to do it! more

A truthful perspective on patti's studio 6/20/2008

I feel compelled to respond to one of the ""negative"" reviews recently posted on this site. My daughter's have been dancing @ Patti's for about 10 years. The staff has done an amazing job w/my girls. Not only with bringing out their dance potential, but also helping them to come out of their shells. When my daughters started @ Patti's about 10 years back, they were the shyest, quietest girls you would ever meet. These teachers connected with them and brought out their personality. My emotions never fail to get the best of me every time they perform-and I have Patti and her staff to thank for that. As far as the ""Incident"" that was mentioned, yes we were there @ the time; be advised it was NOT 20 people that left, it was a handful, and I need to honestly say that the atmosphere has never been better since. We are all a ""team"" now... from parents right down to the students. We all support each other 100%. Sure of course, some kids are more talented than others, and we all support & applaud that...but let's keep it in perspective folks. While some of these girls pursue a career in dance, some dont. And one of the most imporant things is the friendships they build there ..and I need also to mention the AWESOME technique that is taught. IMO..Patti's cannot be beat. And I say that from the bottom of my heart. And I am not alone in my statement. Her choreography is in fact, on the cutting edge. If you want further proof, I suggest you come check the studio out yourself; you will surely NOT be disappointed!! Pros: Everything Cons: Nothing! more

The Best dance center I have ever danced at! 5/19/2008

I love Patii Eisenhauer Dance Center I practicly live there!!!! It is the best place ever! I love the dance instructors there, and the dances are always so much fun! I have made so much progress in going there, and I wouldn't go anywhere else! :) Pros: The best place ever more

Avoid if you are a serious student 5/9/2008

The sad thing about this site is that the negative reviews about Patti Eisenhauer are always erased. I will start off by saying that if your child does not want a career in dance then this studio would be perfectly fine for he or she to attend, but if dance is something they want to pursue then Patti's is not for them. A few years ago there was an incident where almost 20 girls left the studio at the same time because of problems with teachers (my daughter not being one of them to leave) Almost all of the dancers who left went to other studios. My daughter use to be at the same level as those who left but when she stayed and graduated at Patti's, though she tried she went nowhere with dance and those who left are fulfilling their dreams. The reason I am writing this is because my daughter recently heard that a student who left Patti's just got signed to a professional contemporary company and is booked her first festival show with the most indemand choreographers. It was always my daughters dream to dance and it just broke my heart to have her dreams die. Patti's does not focus on the real world of dance but they are good at making it seem like after years of training with them you will be a sucessful dancer. My daughter had fun at Patti's but it seemed more like a daycare then a dance studio. The choreography is good, but always a few steps behind the times. The teachers are friendly but hard to trust. The new studio is lovely but a little small with minimal parking. The students are very friendly and some talented, but in this dance world it takes more then just a little talent. Pros: Good for young students looking to learn how to dance and just have fun Cons: The training the team students recieve more

Knows How to Teach Dance 7/31/2007

Patti , her daughter Ashley and the other teachers at this studio know how to teach kids to dance. The addition of Russian ballet masters Zhanat and Vera has improved technique of competition teams tremendously. After 11 years dancing & competing here, my daughter has the poise and professionalism of someone 10 years older than her age. She can dance circles around kids who attend ""better known"" studios in the area. Prices are very reasonable compared to other dance schools in town (especially when considered on an hourly basis). Kids are friendly, my daughter has many friends older and younger than she, and from several surrounding towns. Choreography is the best in the area. Most classes include gymnastics (tumbling only, no equipment). Pros: Price, quality of instruction Cons: Recital classes are 2nd class citizens behind competition teams. Poor communication. more

I love patti's 5/2/2007

i've been dancing here sinse i was 4 and i made my way onto the company team when i turned 7. I have never been so happy doing one activity for so long!! I love dance and the competitions and all the people you meet. The Russian Ballet teacher, Zahnat, is wicked cool. He's so nice and knows how to bring the full potential of a student to the surface without pushing them away. He makes everyone feel like they rock and improve everyday ""millimeter by millimeter"", as he would say. We even have our own piano player! I feel like i dance at a professional dance studio without the professional pressure. The environment is friendly and fun. There is no doubt that Patti and her daughter Ashley can't turn any child into the best dancer they can possibly be! I LOVE IT HERRREEE!!! Pros: NEW STUDIO!!, great staff, friendly atmosphere, beautiful choreography, very talented Cons: time consuming, company students dance year round more

My daughter receives the best dance instruction available on top of making truly kind friends that stand by her through thick and thin. 4/5/2007

I have brought my daughter to the Patti Eisenhauer Dance Center since she could walk. She worked her way up from recreational to the competition team. Every teacher she's ever had is wonderful! It's obvious that they all love kids and the art of dance. Patti and her daughter Ashley have won countless awards for their choreography but it's so much more than that. The overall experience for these kids at the studio is very self-esteem building as well as character-building. Now that the studio has relocated, us parents don't have to deal with the parking or any other issues of the old building. Patti and her staff have the philosophy that ALL children can learn to be better dancers and I so agree with that. It has also proven to be true at this year's competitions. Entering students, whether they are teenagers or toddlers, get a friendly welcome and the best dance instruction available. I'm proud to say that my child is a student at PEDC and am so happy for Patti and her family in their new location. PEDC is making history and it's so exciting to be part of it. Pros: Children learn a lot and feel good about themselves here. more

A great place for your child to dance!! 4/3/2007

This studio is wonderful. The instruction is superb, and the staff professional. I highly recommend it, whether your child is interested in taking recreational classes, or auditioning for the teams; they also offer adult classes which are alot of fun! Pros: great staff, beautiful new studio!!! more

Good Job 2/14/2007

This studio does a good job. Nice staff, impressive space. Friendly & Fun. My daugter's love it here! Pros: Great Staff Cons: Needs more parking more

Great choreography, friendly staff and students, fun! 12/29/2006

Patti Eisenhauer Dance Center can be a life-time experience. There is so much to learn in this place. I am a dancer there currently, and I have loved it hwen I first stepped in. There is gymnastics, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Modern. The Ballet is great because we have two professional Russian Ballet teachers who are phenominal. The first class I took by them, I got better and increased by ability of achieving my dreams. All the students are welcoming, and help new students learn and feel comfortable. The competition team is great because you go to a place to compete and you stay at a hotel (optional you don't HAVE to stay at a hotel, but it makes it more fun =). ) Pros: Fun, Friendly Staff and Students,Good learning experience, well- instructed for students. more

Superb teaching and wonderful staff 9/18/2006

My daughters have been dancing @ Patti's for over 7 years. I have seen them grow and mature so much thanks to Patti and her wonderful staff. Patti and her staff truly care about each individual child that walks through the door; it's not ""clique"" at all here. Pros: Wonderful staff, caring environment Cons: Can be a lack of parking more
