Some friends invited my husband and I to join them for breakfast at the Daily Grind this morning and we were pleasantly surprised by our experience. The atmosphere is certainly rustic with old fixtures, mis-matched tables and chairs, and photocopied menus, but the food was great. My husband had some doubts when he received his Eggs Benedict because it looked as though it was a Mc-out-out-of-the-box type meal, but once he bit into it, he found happiness. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the Hollandaise rich and creamy. My made-to-order omelet was well made and to order. It was, however slightly overshadowed by the amazing cheddar/ jalapeno grits served on the side. We also enjoyed a wonderful Belgian waffle infused with a warm, cinnamony spiciness that was delightful.
Pros: Good food, casual atmosphere
