I've actually been to this salon more than once. The first time I loved my cut and color, but the stylist left. The second time was not so great. First of all, my stylist did not speak clear English. I had a very difficult time trying to communicate what I was looking for. She spent the entire haircut talking about how she had to flee the opression in her country and the discrimination she faced while there. It was a very awkward and uncomfortable conversation for a haircut! I ended up getting a great haircut, but the color was horrible. I asked for blonde highlights with some lowlights added throughout. She did not understand what lowlights were, so she ended up giving me highlights but "painting" the rest of my hair with the lowlights. I ended up with a very ashy brown color that looked gray in sunlight. It was so dark you couldnt even make otu the highlights. The worst part was that one of the other senior stylists (maybe owner?) kept walking over and asking what she was doing and looking like she didnt approve. A couple of times she stopped her and showed her how to do something. If someone needs that much guidance and direction they definitely dont need to be doing hair on their own. I was very disappointed with how everything was handled. I would hope they would look for knowledgeable and professional stylists in the future. I will definitely not return and do not recommend this place unless all you are looking for is a cut.
