I've actually been to this salon more than once. The first time I loved my cut and color, but the stylist left. The second time was not so great. First of all, my stylist did not speak clear English. I had a very difficult time trying to communicate what I was looking for. She spent the entire haircut talking about how she had to flee the opression in her country and the discrimination she faced while there. It was a very awkward and uncomfortable conversation for a haircut! I ended up getting a great haircut, but the color was horrible. I asked for blonde highlights with some lowlights added throughout. She did not understand what lowlights were, so she ended up giving me highlights but "painting" the rest of my hair with the lowlights. I ended up with a very ashy brown color that looked gray in sunlight. It was so dark you couldnt even make otu the highlights. The worst part was that one of the other senior stylists (maybe owner?) kept walking over and asking what she was doing and looking like she didnt approve. A couple of times she stopped her and showed her how to do something. If someone needs that much guidance and direction they definitely dont need to be doing hair on their own. I was very disappointed with how everything was handled. I would hope they would look for knowledgeable and professional stylists in the future. I will definitely not return and do not recommend this place unless all you are looking for is a cut. Pros: Good haircut, great products Cons: Horrible highlights and color, shabby waiting area more

I had been looking for a hairstylist ever since I moved to Georgia, and I finally found one! I met someone recently with a fun, stylish haircut and found out that she sees Teresa at Raven Loche Salon. So I set up an appointment for hilites and a haircut with her and I could not be happier! She took the time to listen to what I wanted and what I didn't want. She made me feel so comfortable, and we had so much fun! Everyone at the salon made me feel so welcome. Well, first of all, I am a spa junkie. I decided to try the local place in my neiborhood - not expecting much but I just had to have a facial and massage on a specific day I was unexpectedly free. When I called to schedule an appointment for the next day I was greated with friendliness and respect. When I walked in once again the same attitude. The front desk was causal, non-intimidating and quite layed back - well I guess this is to be expected way out here in the suburbs. I had my massage first and Terri was amazing. It certainly ranked right up there with some of the buckhead, in-town prestigous joints I've been in. Next my facial was with Belinda and I think it was THE BEST I have ever had. What made it sooo goood, you may ask? Her touch was amazing, just the right amount of pressure and stimulation during the facial massage. When we were talking about my skin, she actually knew what she was talking about. I learned something new and I have had a ton of facials. It never felt like she was going through the motions - but was actually 'present' with me the whole time. I highly recommend her. They also have a hair salon that I have not tried. They use Dermalogical products which I also like. My afternoon was unexpectedly wonderful and in my own 'backyard' Try them - if Terri and Belinda are there you will not be disappointed!! Although it's outside of the perimeter, Raven Loche Salon and Day Spa is a great escape. Earth tones, low lighting and relaxing music make this my salon of choice...not to mention Paige who is a HAIR WIZARD!!
