Made a point of going to L&R over the 4th of July weekend and went at a 11 AM Sunday right when they opened. I was curious to see how they would handle it and what kind of food we would get. When we went in the place was immaculate! You couldn't tell that they were open til 2 AM that morning. We sat in a booth that was very nice and had a very cozy feel to it. The interior was great with wood all around, a place where you could sit (like a living room) and talk among friends if you didn't need to sit at a table or the bar.\r

It was a little too early me for a pint but they definitely have a great selection of draught British and Irish beers at the bar (Bass, Guinness, Harp, Smithwick, Boddington, etc). I ordered the Shepherds Pie which was excellent. My wife ate her Beefeater?s Pub Burger which she said was fantastic and my daughter said her King William?s Turkey BLT was excellent! We were truly surprised to find the food that good that early @ a pub. We then finished the meal with Guinness Chocolate Ice Cream. The flavor of Guinness was right @ the end of each bite and it was a treat. I'm not a chocolate ice cream lover but I could definitely go for this ice cream.\r

At the end my daughter requested a L&R t-shirt and I wanted a L&R pint glass. They were out of the glasses in the display case but the manager had the waitress get one from behind the bar with the L&R logo and a saying by George Burns about drinking on the reverse. Everyone was friendly and the food was excellent. If you want to watch sports this place is also for you because you can't turn around without a TV to watch. I enjoy watching English Premier League football and if I lived in SA I would love to watch it here on a Saturday or Sunday morning.\r

I definitely look forward to my next visit there!
