I have known Bill Darling for about 12 years now. I have used his services for bluing, basic repairs, sights, scopes/installation and barrel crowning. I have also bought countless guns from him. His selection changes reasonably quickly so there is usually something new to see. For top-notch restoration of expensive/historic firearms there are some better choices and I think that Biill would tell you as much. Like anywhere, his proces run from the very resonable to the too expensive range. Note however, that all of his prices include the tax.
Pros: Quick, good handle on the basics, good advice, reasonable prices, good jokes & stories
Cons: Does not really do machine work, restoration on historical pieces must sometimes be brought to more of a specialist gunsmith (Bill will tell you this)
