Where to begin...hmm...okay, well I'll start off by saying that I've been to this venue over 30 times, and have LOVED 28 of the shows...i guess I could say that I loved all 30, but we didn't have the same experience for the last two. I STUPIDLY bought tickets to most of the shows here this summer, as I always do, at once before the summer starts. I say stupidly, because if I had known that COMCAST was going to ruin the experience for everyone by instantiating new rules I would have saved my money and gone elsewhere, but its too late for this summer. This place has been awesome for years and years and years, they let you get in at noon to setup shop (grills, games, beverages) and enjoy the beautiful summer days till the show beings, then try to push everyone in, which is 100% understandable. NOW HOWEVER, they have implemented a strict policy of no drinking before the show, and have pushed the times to open the gate. They have varying times, anywhere from 2 hours before the show opens to a few more hours of open time. I attended Tom Petty and Pearl Jam so far this summer and have issues with them both times. At Tom Petty they turned us away at the gate and said they would open at 4:30. We went to a hotel and tailgated with others in their parking lot until 4:30. At which time they opened and made us park in the back of the worst parking lot, another new policy to screw over anyone getting there early. Then at Pearl Jam they had cops constantly patrolling looking for people drinking, not underage, ANYONE. I saw them arrest several people and make the other people they were with dump everything in their coolers into garbages. I don't mind the 25 yr old rule inside, tailgating was the way around it for out of staters. They've taken our dignity away from us, we are just dollar signs to them now, no longer are ""guests"". I'm praying they go bankrupt, look elsewhere for a show. If you have facebook, theres a group: Bring Back Tweeter/Greatwoods. Spread the word.
Pros: Used to be the greatest place on earth
Cons: New owners took the life and love outta the place
