My girlfriend loves spicy Szechuan food. We used to go to Tea House in Plymouth regularly until Little Szechuan was opened in St. Paul. In the first couple of months of opening, the food in Little Szechuan was fantastic. It was 100% authentic food with large portion at a very reasonable price. We went there 3-4 times a month at that time. If we weren?t living in the southwest suburbs, we would have gone much more often. Unfortunately the quality of the food was deteriorating through time. The portion of the dishes now is probably only 2/3 of what it was before. The spicy oil used in the food doesn?t smell that fresh and nice anymore. It totally lost the authenticity. The only thing didn?t go down was the price. We were getting more and more disappointed each time we went there as we thought it was the best Chinese restaurant to go in the twin cities area. Eventually we stopped going since it was no longer worth the driving. If you live around that area, it would still be a decent place to go. Otherwise you can probably find something similar around.
