For what my opinion is worth, I think loud security is a good and fair company. I have been with them for a number of years. Although you do have to sign a long term commitment, they give you the system up front so I know that this is their only way of ensuring profitability. Basically just like a cell phone agreement.
I've never had a major problem with my security system. Just the standard issues like my battery getting old and stuff. I doo know that every time I have set it off, their monitoring people call me just as they should. I've never had an actual break-in, but I trust that the police would be dispatched if I ever needed them to be.
i checked out other larger companies once, but Brinks and ADT charge over $30/month for basic service and since mine uses cellular, they wanted over $42 a month. I found a couple I could get cheaper, but overall I feel that the change would just not have been worth taking the risk since I know I have always had good service from Loud Security in the past.
My bottom line thought is that if you go into this knowing that you will have to sign an agreement to pay for the discounts they give you up front, that you will get good customer service as long as you are a customer.
Pros: good customer service with practical advice and help
Cons: none escept for the term agreement
