We just moved to the area, and heard lots of good stuff about this restaurant. We did not make reservations, so of course we had to wait a little while. We waited in the bar, and after 20 minutes we were asked if we wanted to order something. At that time we could see out table was getting ready.\r
As we were seated a very friendly waiter told us the specials. As we were very hungry she took our order and was very fast to bring us the soup for me and salad for my wife. The Red Chowder was excellent, but the house salad was a bit boring. Also she brought our wine. My redwine was luke warm which was not very good for the wine. i tried to get some icecubes from my water to cool it down, but only had a few as I did not get new refills of water. \r
Our main entrees arrived prawn and rice for my wife. The prawns was ok, but the rice was soaked in something that did not meet the description on the menu.\r
My surf and turf was good, but when I got my side dish the veggies tasted and smelled funny. The baked potato was ok though. \r
It seemed like the waiter could see that we were not quite pleased as she stayed away from our table untill we asked for our bill. \r
I do not know if we were just unlucky, but it was definitely not a place we would like to eat again.
Pros: The red chowder
Cons: smelly veggies and luke warm red wine
