My grandmother was admitted to this overly expensive nursing home (1974 N. Fairfield Rd.) on February 2nd. She passed away on May 15th. Many things went wrong and attributed to her death. They turned off her oxygen several times which caused brain damage. The patient load was too great for the minimal amount of nurses staffed. We even overhead the head nurse asking for help because she had 46 patients to give medication to and that she could do it by herself, yet no one showed up. The aides would not answer help calls for 20 minutes or more. Some aides were heard complaining about the call lights. They failed to give her prescribed medications at the right time on many occasions, which in turn prevented her from eating. The student nurses were dispensing medication without any supervision. One in particular tried to give my grandmother medication 3 hours too early which would have caused an overdose and created even more problems. They refused to give her an IV when she stopped eat
