This nursing home is very neat and orderly. There seems to be plenty of staff on hand to care for all. The patients seem content there and many gave rave revues when we visited ...

This place should be shut down! Would not recommend this place to ANYONE!!! There is not enough room here to explain all the awful things my family has witnessed since my grandpa ...

This place should be shut down! Would not recommend this place to ANYONE!!! There is not enough room here to explain all the awful things my family has witnessed since my grandpa was sent to Heartland of Beavercreek just 4 days ago. So I will just list some things 1) you can push the nurse button all day long but rarely does a nurse come. 2) patients don't see a doctor - we were told there is one doc on-site only monday and friday but never even saw a doctor. 3) many patients complained of diarrhea and likely comes from the food. 4) all staff except 1 person was rude and no bedside manners. 5) the "old" wing smelled like feces so bad it was unbarable 6) physical therapy was a joke 7) there was no plan to get my grandpa rehabilitated. 8) this place doesn't even have a clean change of linens.Needless to say we are pulling our grandpa out of this place today! more

CAUTION 12/28/2011

CAUTION,CAUTION!!!!!!! I would NEVER allow another loved one to be placed in this facility!! My sister has gastric cancer,is in remission, but became malnourished,so a pic line was placed, and she had to recieve tpn (fed through the pic line). She had been in Miami Valley, and the social worker there said due to her insurance, there were only two facilities that offered care for the pic line-Heartland of Beavercreek, or Heartland in Centerville. She talked about what wonderful care they give, and that she could go out on four hour passes whenever she wanted-NOT true!!! Still trying to find out if there is some kind contract between the hospital and the nursing home, which is a for profit facility. We didn't want her to be admmitted there, but felt like we were over a barrel. My sister is fifty one,and NOT senile,or compromised mentally. There isn't enough time,or space on here to list everything horrible that transpired there, but here are a few things...Was there over a week before facili more

Heartland of Beavercreek 3/25/2010

I was in Heartland for two weeks and received an IV as well as rehab and it was a nice experience. Little short staffed but very nice. more

Heartland Health Care Ctr is wonderful 8/1/2009

My father just returned home from receiving rehab at heartland of beavercreek. I was very happy with the entire experience. They were very supportive and treated my father with much respect. His therapy was great. He is back to 100%. I would recommend this place to anyone. I do not think you could find a better nursing home in the area more

HORRIBLE PLACE! 4/24/2009

My grandmother has been there since 2004 and has been treated with nothing but disrespect. She had a stroke and her left side is paralyzed. Every time they move her they hurt her and when she says they are hurting her they dont care and keep going without trying to find a way to make it less painful. They are constantly losing all of her clothing and trying to pass others off as hers that dont even come close to fitting her. since she has been there she has become more depressed and hostile because of the pain that she is in that the cause by not treating her with care. They treat her like she is a child and cant think or speak or feel for herself. they act like she feels nothing. i am concerned for her safety and health and am currently trying to help find a better place for her to be. if you care at all for your loved ones...DO NOT SEND THEM HERE!!!! more

CAUTION PLEASE STAY AWAY 2/26/2009

PLEASE TAKE CAUTION BEFORE YOU LET A LOVED ONE BE ADMITTED TO HEARTLAND OF BEAVERCREEK. My father had surgery and went to Heartland (only because Trinity in Beavercreek had no availability) The first night they called my Mom at 4am to advise he fell out of bed. By the time she arrived they said they were mistaken and got busy and forgot to call her back. (Imagine the worry) The second day they over medicated my Dad and he passed away the following day. Please stay away. I read a negative review and I should have listened. At the time I had no choice. Hopefully you will do some homework and have some choices. more

Stay Away from Heartland!!! 5/26/2008

My grandmother was admitted to this overly expensive nursing home (1974 N. Fairfield Rd.) on February 2nd. She passed away on May 15th. Many things went wrong and attributed to her death. They turned off her oxygen several times which caused brain damage. The patient load was too great for the minimal amount of nurses staffed. We even overhead the head nurse asking for help because she had 46 patients to give medication to and that she could do it by herself, yet no one showed up. The aides would not answer help calls for 20 minutes or more. Some aides were heard complaining about the call lights. They failed to give her prescribed medications at the right time on many occasions, which in turn prevented her from eating. The student nurses were dispensing medication without any supervision. One in particular tried to give my grandmother medication 3 hours too early which would have caused an overdose and created even more problems. They refused to give her an IV when she stopped eat more

Think twice about this supposed skilled nursing center!! 7/20/2007

(Just know that it may be in Beavercreek - but definitely not up to PAR!)\r \r My grandmother was recently released from MVH, after having a surgery in April 07' however finally being released to their "skilled" 24 hour nursing center here in July 2007. Nearly two weeks into this unstable stay we were evacuated by ambulance back to MVH. She now had developed a STAPH infection - and a few other new issues. \r \r We were told not only by MVH case managers but also by the administrators of this facility that they were able to MAINTAIN - TPN & WOUND CARE - That they were specialists!! (Rehab too!) \r \r Little do we find out after my grandmother was emergency evacuated out of here (w/blue legs, not breathing, STAPH!!) that they ARE NOT trained in TPN NOR WOUND CARE. NOT too mention now she has spent nearly ONE WHOLE week in ICU @ MVH trying to RE-cooperate!\r \r SHAME ON THIS NURSING HOME. \r \r It absolutely defeats the whole objective for sending us, initially! more

NOT such a great place... 3/23/2007

This facility is a JOKE! My father was taken there and against doctors orders they defied an order almost killing my father. When I finally got him out of there, the new facility documented 13 PAGES of skin tears. EXPLAIN THAT!!!! If you love your family run from this hole and fast... more

Almost like home 11/3/2005

This nursing home is very neat and orderly. There seems to be plenty of staff on hand to care for all. The patients seem content there and many gave rave revues when we visited it. Each staff member is assigned a patient to be sort of an advocate for. PROS: They really do care for each patient and think of them as family. CONS: Expensive but they do try to help find funds for the patients. more

A nursing home that you can trust 9/7/2005

While we never planned on putting my mother in there, we had to make that horrible choice. She had dementia and there was no way we could care for her safely and completely. Her stay there was one that was enhanced by the wonderful nurses that work there. I've never seen that compassionate level of care that I saw at Heartland of Beavercreek. more

Wonderful care received 9/5/2005

My Grandma entered Heartland of Beavercreek during the last year of her life. She was suffering with Alzheimer's and at the point where she didn't recognize anyone. The nurses and staff at Heartland were so caring, supportive, caring, and helped us understand the process of Alzheimer's. While it was no easy journey, knowing that the staff was there for us, helped us go through the process much easier. The level of care was superb. more
