Bait 'n Switch 5/5/2008

SCUMMY, that single word sums up the proprietors of CPC Wireless.\r \r Last week on Thursday 5/1/08 I called CPC and talked with Navid to inquire about upgrading my phone to a new Blackberry 8820 with T-Mobile service. He stated that is should not be a problem and took my current cell phone account information and told me to call back on Friday (5/2/08) to see what he could do. I called back on Friday and he told me he could get me the phone (the 8820) for $199 w/ a two year contract extension. I specifically asked him if the phone was the 8820 and he responded that it was and that it was brand new in the box. I told him that sounded fine and that I would pick up and pay for the phone on Monday (5/5/08)\r \r On Monday I woke up early and drove to CPC wireless in Santa Monica. When I arrived there Navid told me that the he thought I wanted a Blackberry Curve and that theBlackberry 8820 was discontinued and no longer available (Red Flag #1). I had him visit the T-Mobile website where it stated that not only do they sell the Blackberry 8820, but it was one of their newest phones. Navid seemed to be perplexed for a second, but then regained his composure and told me I could get the 8820 for $299 or the Curve, which is not what i wanted, for $199 (Red Flag #2).\r \r Bottom line, I did not buy a phone from this balding POS Navid, nor would I recommend anyone buy a phone from him or his business partner David. Either this guy was trying to pull some bait and switch scam on me or he is so incompetent he doesn't even know which models of phones are out on the market.\r \r I will leave it up to you the reader to decide. Shop anywhere but here. Cons: shady / rude salespeople, not honest more
