This collection agency called my husband in regard to a dental bill that we owed. Yes, we owed the money, yes we intended to pay the money, but were wrangling with insurance companies to make sure we only paid what we actually owed. ""Jennifer"" told my husband that she could see that he didn't pay his debts (not true), and she was sure that he wouldn't pay this one. When he asked to speak to her manager, she said she would connect him to the complaints department, and hung up on him. When he called back to speak to her manager about her behavior, he said he endorsed her behavior. This is inexcusable. There is no reason for collection agents to be rude, yet they all seem to think that is how they are supposed to behave. Aparently, their mothers never taught them manners, or that you get much further when you are curteous, rather than rude. There should be a standard that these people should be held to. Abusing people is just wrong. There is no excuse for poor manners and rudeness.
