My two best friends took me here Thursday night for my birthday dinner. I am NOT a big sushi eater, but still always open to new places. We got there before 7pm and it was empty, and did fill up as the night progressed. Upon entering, walk upstairs, since no alcohol, bar downstairs closed... but BYOB is better anyways. The manager (and owner I think) Joe sat next to us and took our menus away and just asked some basic questions of what we like, spicey/non, etc.. and then the food kept coming. I don't know what I ate, but it was great. The service was amazing, our wine glasses never went under a 3rd empty before someone grabbed the bottle and refilled, and took emply plates away without hesitation. We were doing saki-bombs with him and even did saki shot with another birthday party there at the next table. Dessert was a tempura cheesecake wih a birthday candle and then a green-leaf tea cake. Fortune cookies are a standard, but if you're with a fun group, we got the ""adult"" fortune messages. I will definitely go back again!
