I met one of the stylists at Blu salon at a bar when I complimented her beautiful haircut. she told me her name and where she worked and I made an appointment a few weeks later. I trucked all the way from the city to Edgewater b/c I hadn't found a stylist I liked that was less than $250 and this place was very reasonable. it was well worth the bus ride b/c I absolutely LOVED my hair! it lasted 3 months and looked fabulous. when it was finally time for a new cut i was so sad to find out my stylist had left. the front desk girl assured me she would find me another great stylist so i figured id give it a shot. the new girl they placed me w/ was really young and i realized either very inexperienced or not very bright. I told her what I was looking for (i have long but thin hair so I'm not a fan of tons of layers)and she looked at me like i was speaking a foreign language. when i noticed her clueless look i started to repeat myself she rudely blurted out "yeah...yeah... I get it". at this point I started to sweat (I've had enough bad haircuts to get a little paranoid) I told her very firmly I wanted a little trim and that was it. she gave me this fake cold smile and spent about 15 minutes on my hair. Then to make matters worse, before she started to blowdry my hair she walked away and started talking to one of the other girls and kept pointedly looking at me and then they both started laughing. i got the cold shoulder from her during the blowdry and when she was done she didn't perk up until she walked to the front desk with me to pay, then she was all smiles and warm wishes. i probably gave her a better tip than she deserved but I was till so mad the next day i called to complain and was given a "shocked" "this is the first time we've EVER received a complaint! I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your visit but...." basically you can go to (fill in blank). I forgot to mention while I was paying the salon's lap dog threw up a giant hairball as I was walking out. gross.
