I am not sure what anyone on here is talking about. After reading these reviews I truly felt compelled to write my own. My dog was a patient of VCA for his long life of fifteen years. When he reached his senior citizen stage of life, they were always supportive and responsive. We were given much support and help in deciding how to handle his arthritis and cushings disease. The vet was fabulous and I believe my dog loved her as much as anyone. He never suffered and the vet always made sure we were aware of his situation (she promised she would tell us if he was suffering so we could make the appropriate decision). One night, his hips finally gave out and he was in tremendous pain. They made an appointment for us the next day. The techs helped us carry him from the car inside. They sat with us while we waited for the vet. When it was time, she allowed me to be in the room and was so compassionate and sympathetic to the situation.
