Discrimination in SALTY DOG 4/28/2008

I have never been to Salty Dog cafe. In fact, I do not think I will ever go there after what I have experienced since I have never seen such discriminatory administration before. I am a student who is about to finish his second university in Turkey. To improve my English and to get to know American culture I decided to participate a work&travel programme and picked up Salty Dog cafe to work. However, a month before my departure for the USA the cafe declared that it does not accept Turkish students. The reason for such a refusal was that Turks are dirty and they have a tendecy to break things. Even if in their website they claim themselves to be friendly and hospitable, they are clearlt discriminatory. I wonder whether they will accept me as a ?stinking?costumor with the money I receive from my father working as a high ranking official in the bureaucracy. It seems that they are trying to implement the same failed mentality about ?negros? on Turks and other nations.Such a mentality does not suit Americans or humans. We have a saying, ?As you sow, so shall you reap?. What you do to somebody, you receive in kind. If you support this kind of discriminatory treatment please enjoy Salty Dog cafe. more
