I've lived in SLC for the past 34 years, but have had the opportunity to travel throughout much of the world, as well. I am endlessly amazed to see superb family restaurants pop up around the valley and then disappear months or, at most, a few short years later. Usually I'll hear about one of theses places from a rational friend or two and venture out to try my luck. I'd say that maybe half the time that I try these suggestions, I'm somewhat disappointed, but the other 50% of the time I'm pleasantly surprises. Upon these rare occassions, I find myself in a bitter sweet mood, for I know with certainty that this new find will follow the path of so many others - into the graveyard. Why does this happen here in our little valley time and again, people? Get out and give this one a chance before it's too late or you'll find yourself back at sub-par Bombay House wishing that you could, just once, have a GOOD indian food experience here in Salt Lake City.
