Prior to showing up to Paschal's I had called in a pick-up order. I expected to show up, pay for my already prepared food, and leave in no time. I was in for a rude awakening. Upon arrival, I walk in alongside two older white women (I am a young African-American male) that arrive at the same time. They were seated immediately. The greeter (an older woman herself) that seated them then chose to ignore me, going around doing other things, and I found myself standing up front for 10 minutes before she or anyone took notice. Finally, she decided to do her job at least in part, and told me where I could pay for my order which was supposed to be at the bar. The same thing happened at the bar. I stood there waiting, and waiting.....and waiting, while no bartender was in sight. I go back up front to inquire about this and once again the greeter chose to ignore me and laughed, joking around with one of her friends instead of doing her job. I should also mention that she had time to play with her friend because the restaurant was nearly empty and no one else besides me was waiting for service. Several minutes later I finally got her attention but by then it was too late, I was fed up and didn't feel like putting up with the terrible service any longer. I left without giving them my business yet also without the food I had expected to get. In all, the staff at Paschal's (at least the waiters, and especially the octogenarian woman greeter) behave irresponsibly, walking around with their nose in the air, like snobs, picking and choosing who gets good service and who gets bad service. Don't let them use prejudice against you and get away with it.
Pros: The original Paschal's had a long, rich history that this new Northside Dr. location has taken advantage of to falsely adopt as their own.
Cons: Long wait to be seated, staff picks and chooses which customers to ignore and which to serve, overall abhorrent service.
