I just left the South Boston Animal Hospital and will never go back. The vet/owner(a woman with short hair) has worked there for a while and has recently bought the place. I was not comfortable with her in the past but because the hospital is in southie, near my house I have continued to go there. This woman has the bed side manner of Kevorkian. She takes my boy and gives him a couple shots and he doesn't flinch. She then aggressively checks his ears while digging her thumb into his neck. I ask her to stop and she says I don't want him to bite me. I tell her I"ll hold him. She then grabs the skin on his neck and twists it while she checks his heart and he of course doesn't like that. If he didn't flinch during the shots, what makes her think he's going to bite her while she puts a stethoscope on him. I tell her to stop and she says I should stop accusing her of being aggressive. This lady is nuts. My dog likes everyone no matter what...I'm not the same way and will never go back...horrible! She's in it for the money and not the animals...no doubt!
Pros: Location
Cons: Dr. Kevorkian owns it
