Air Conditioning 3/14/2008

After two years and when the factory warranty had expired I had valve go out so the air conditioning/heating would not defrost. I was told by Longhorn that all warranty had expired. They told me it would cost $650 to fix the unit. Come to find out the part was covered by warranty and I would only be charged labor. I was told it was a flat rate job. The Tech came out and it took him 2 hours to fix the unit. This came to $325 an hour in labor. I called up and was told that this was common practice. CONSUMER BEWARE OF LONGHORN PLUMBING. I do not mind being charged a fair price but they were deceptive and unreasonable. I can assure you I will never use them again and will tell everyone of their practices. more
