One good vet and one not so good 3/6/2008

I have been here with my dog 4 times so I feel as though I can write this. The practice is nice and the staff cares about the well being of Buster (my dog) and me. EXCEPT for the owner of the practice. Her last name is Dowrimple and she is cold and borderline offensive. Im suprised she has any customers. Stay away from her. I first saw a vet there besides her (who doesn't work there anymore...probably because her boss stinks to work for) and she was personable and great. Then I saw Dr. Dowrimple and soooo turned me off. She told me that I was a bad pet owner in so many words because I didn't know my dog ate something, an obstruction she said and the dog can die. Sorry if the dog goes around the corner from my field of view and swallows something I did't see. I am a good pet owner. She was so very smug and seemed to actually enjoy that I felt bad, I know this because she was smiling when she told me this. She took Buster in the back and I can hear her being rude and mean to her staff. Who does she think she is...GOD? I told myself never to go there again. But I had to....this is the closest practice to where I live. So I took Buster in again, he had an odor from his ears and there was a new vet there. She was so compassionate and kind. I really liked her alot. She totally balanced out the other person. She was a new vet (looked really young with a northeast accent -NJ or NY) but very knowledgable, professional and gave me options and didn't make me feel bad at all. I have since went back and will only see her. Remember my words, stay away from the boss there...in my opinion she is evil. Pros: The new vet and proximety to my house. Cons: The owner who is also a vet more
