Good, but not necessarily worth the price 3/1/2008

We were seated promptly and very curteously by the hostess and were greeted quickly by our very affable server. Anyone who claims service is a problem here is either getting the wrong server or hasn't been here lately.\r The wine selection is pretty good but what brings this place down is that the kitchen is noisy and you can feel the vibrations through the floor from the dish tank in certain parts of the dining room. It's not noticeable until you just sit there and then you feel a vibration pulsating through you - very unpleasant.\r \r The food is good, especially the little starter dishes they have. For an entree we had the duck risotto which tasted great but was too rich and oily and the lamb shank which was good but good have been slow-cooked a little bit longer as it was not as tender as it could be. The endive salad was not great either and it had a lot of nuts and what was supposed to be roquefort cheese was a cheap alternative that totally undermined the experience and made the dish not worth it's $10 (for a side salad).\r \r In the Short North I would stil recommend Marcella's over this place, if you want good-tasting greasy food, might as well go to the place which is slightly cheaper, has a better atmosphere and has food just as good. Pros: nice design, friendly staff, good service and food Cons: poor value, noisy kitchen, vibrations more
