I?ve always heard that Emeril?s restaurants were overpriced and served mediocre food at best and Delmonico certainly proved it. The bread that was served before the meal was only lukewarm and the butter was nearly frozen. I would at least expect the bread to be hot and have soft butter that we can actually cut with a knife. Our entrees were mediocre, but certainly not worth $180 for 4 entrees alone. I could have gotten a better piece of fish at Danny & Clyde?s restaurant and gas station. Our waiter was an intimidating French guy who kept bugging us by asking if everything was good. Let me explain, I don?t normally mind if a waiter asks us 3+ times if our food is good. However, we were all engaged in a conversation and he came over 3 times and would repeatedly ask us if our food was good in a loud and demanding voice. The third time he came over, he said ?it?s good? It?s good? It?s good?? until we responded with ?YES! It?s fine!? And then our conversation topic changed to ?I wish he would stop asking us that.? Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
