Amazing experience! We took our family of 6 to Firefly while visiting LA and had a memorable and fun experience. The outdoor covered patio bordered with plaster walls with candle insets create a unique feel that was warm, cozy but light and open as well. While clearly a romantic place, our children (ages 8 to 12) felt comfortable and thought trying new flavors of food was fun. Most of all, the staff made us feel comfortable and welcome. Oh, the food - impressive all the way around. My wife and I eat out a lot and enjoy fine food and wine. We LOVED everything! We tasted a bunch of dishes - the special soft shell crab, fresh mushroom salad with white truffle oil, salt & pepper flash fried shrimp, mussels, veal meatballs, fried olives (a must try) before hitting a few entrees like the filet with blue cheese and onions, the lamb steak special. All wonderfully done, bursting with flavors and unique in style. We topped the evening with the banana bread pudding - also wonderful. Overall, we loved Firefly and would highly recommend it as a romantic spot for a unique and fun evening. Lastly we would note the wine list was limited but diverse and frankly reasonable for a place of this caliber - we had a nice bottle of French wine. We'll be back for sure and would encourage other who enjoy fine food and wine to try. Chef Kelly does an amazing job and if you can get Lindsey as your server, she makes the evening memorable!
