Coming from a retail management background of over 2 years, I have never witnessed such terrible and degrading customer service. The associates I manage are all between the ages of 18 and 22 and not a single one of them has ever treated a customer the way my friends and I were treated at this establishment. We came to bridesmaid dress shop as a group - 5 out of the 6 bridesmaids, the bride and her mother. While waiting in the waiting area for our bride to arrive, the front desk associate cut us off when we asked questions and could not seem to find our girl's name on the list. After we sat down to wait for her, the woman at the front was loudly complaining on the phone about another customer who was wanting to change her appointment due to a sick child. Once our bride arrived and we were allowed to shop, the service by the sales associate did not improve. We felt as if we were an imposition to the establishment and as another reviewer put it- as if we did not belong. All of us, including the mother of the bride felt that way. We were dressed nicely and were polite. The bride and her mother were severly upset about the way that we all were treated. We were barely spoken to, or acknowledged and no one even attempted to make conversation with anyone in our group. Had we not been told that the dress that we wanted would take close to 4 months to get in, we wouldn't have thought twice about purchasing elsewhere. When we did purchase 6 $200+ dresses, the service did not change at all. The associate seemed annoyed and bothered by all of us. Better service is seen in retailers with not nearly the price point! My friends and I would not usually be ones to complain but the shameful treatment by Weddings by Debbie was more than any of us had ever experienced. We did not require being waited on hand and foot, but a simple smile or courtesy would have went a long way. A customer should never be made to feel like an inconvenience, which is exactly how we felt.
