When I was at the Bridal Extravaganza I was yelled at by another dress shop that I had not already ordered my dress ( we are on a less than 6 mth time line) but then I walked down and talked to Debbie the owner. She calmed my fears, listened to what I wanted and told me she was sure that they had something since they carry about 1000 dresses. I made an appt on a Friday when it is quiet ( don't go on Saturdays-it is a mad house there and any other place you go so be smart, go when it is quiet and you receive more attention). Jean was my consultant and she was wonderful. I pulled some dresses and she pulled some. I tried on about 15 dresses and I would have gone with several of them but she had one more for me to try on and as soon as I came out and saw it I knew it was "the dress". Every dress I tried on was in my budget and she even showed me acccessories that would go well with the particular dress I was trying on. I was not rushed and not pressured in anyway. I was given quotes for the alterations and she told me that she was quoting on the high side just in case. I can't say enough about this place and the way I was treated. I can't wait for it to come in now. more

I loved buying a dress at Weddings by Debbie. I had a personal consultant who went around the shop with me and helped me select dresses to try on. Her name is Paula and I would highly recommend you book a consultationwith her. They have satin couches where people can sit and watch you show off the dresses you're trying on. The prices are great too. If you buy a wedding dress at Weddings by Debbie, you get the "Say Yes to the Dress" experience for a fraction of the price. more

I loved loved loved my wedding dress!! & so did everyone at our wedding. I definitely felt like a PRINCESS & never felt so beautiful. Exactly how I wanted to feel on the day of our wedding. The lady who attended me was extremely sweet & I loved working with her. I cant thank her enough to have made me feel comfortable & at ease to had placed my order on my dress. I was a Maggie Sottero bride!! Everybody was very nice. The alterations were a bit high & didnt expect to have paid so much but I was running out of time & didnt have anyone I trusted enough with my dress. The other dislike, location. It was extremely far from home & they were always so booked it was hard to work around my schedule & theirs. more

Weddings by Debbie was by far the best bridal salon that I visited while on my dress search. If you are expecting an experience like "Say Yes to the Dress" with attentive consultants and a wide selection, this is the place to go. They have an amazing selection for every budget, and I was thrilled to find a lot of unique options at this shop. I had looked all over town, through countless pictures on the internet and magazines, and thought I was going to have to get my dress custom made, but I found that special dress that just perfect for my big day at Weddings by Debbie! more

Got my wedding dress here and had a great experience. Be warned that this is an upscale wedding dress shop and therefore the dresses and services are going to be on the expensive side. They were great to work with, very professional and took the time to help me find the perfect dress. They are a very busy shop so it is difficult to get in for fittings but other than that, no complaints! more

Such a wonderful array of bridal gowns. I wsn't expecting to fall in love with a dress so below my budget. It was half off! The alterations department were WONDERFUL!! They are angels with a needle! They were able to take in my dress, add buttons down the back (the designer forgot to add), hem, the bussle. in three days! I had to pay a small rush fee. more

I purchased my dress at Weddings By Debbie, and I absolutely LOVED my dress. I was measured perfectly and I did not require any alterations other than having my bustle done. I was a little worried when I had read previous reviews with them doing the alterations, but as long as you do not wait until the last minute to find your dress and you allow a good 6-8 months for delivery and alterations you will be fine. I did not have any issues with scheduling my fittings or with the alterations department. The only reason I did not give an overall 5 star rating, is because they did not call me when my dress arrived in the store. I just happened to give them a call a week after it was due to be in, and it was not until then they said yes my dress had arrived. Other than that the service was great. more

fantastic store - HUGE selection so if your just starting out perhaps head somewhere else first to get an idea of what you are looking for before heading to Debbie's otherwise you may end up feeling a little overwhelmed!! My consultant was very friendly and helpful, if a little uninformative.. they will try and give you the hard sell when you show even a little interest in a dress so make sure you take a friend and have your 'i need to think about it' or 'ive only just started looking' speech rehearsed. Overall a lovely store with a great selection of gowns at a variety of price points however i personally found their gowns to be a little uninspired and cookie cutter. PS they do offer a 10% discount on any dress in store upon purchase during your first visit.. so perhaps find that perfect dress elsewhere and then head to Debbie's to save a little cash on its purchase ;) more

I bought my wedding dress from Weddings by Debbie. I had not planned on buying it from WbD because they weren't carrying the designer that I wanted (hellooo Monique Lhullier!), but one of my friends suggested trying it anyway. The dressing area isn't quite as glam as Louise Blum, but it's still somewhat fancy and makes you feel like the bride that you are! The lady that helped me was Paula, and she was wonderful. She didn't try to force certain dresses on me, and let me try on anything that I wanted. She was very helpful, I give her 5 stars! WbD has a very diverse selection of dresses, from the very affordable to the very expensive. I ended up getting a dress by Justina McCaffrey, whom one of the owners of the store went to design school with- imagine that! The owner-lady was easy to work with, but I had one problem. Every time I called them to check on my dress order (when it would be there, etc.), I never got a straight answer. My now-husband had to finally call them because obviously I was getting nowhere. The designer had sent the wrong sash (I wanted pale pink, they sent ivory) and WbD had to get the right sash and put it on. In the end I got my dress, and everything was wonderful. WbD has a seamstress who does alterations, and a cleaning/steaming/pressing department that will fix up your dress before bridal portrais and before the wedding day. more

I bought my wedding dress here last week. They have a huge selection and it was a little overwhelming. It seemed very busy at first but once my consultant pulled us to the back it was very calm. I tried on about 8 dresses and my 2nd one was it. She was so patient with me and made me feel beautiful in my gown, of course along w/my girls :) Only downside is that it is kind of far but I would totally recommend WbD! more

This place has a huge selection of wedding gowns, and I ended up buying my gown here. If you purchase on your first visit, you get a discount, which I exercised. Most of the saleswomen are nice, but I've come across some snooty employees. No matter, you're a bride on a mission. I appreciate that they will store your gown for you until wedding day. There is also complimentary steaming. I'd recommend every bride checkt his place out; even if you don't buy, you can fish for ideas. more

When looking for my bridal gown I only went to two stores. The second (and last) place I tried on gowns was Weddings by Debbie and I had a great experience. The woman helping me was very nice and accomodating. Most of the dresses that this place carries are of the larger and more ornate variety -- and as is the style in wedding dresses, tend to be strapless. I came into the store and told the attendant that not only did I want a sleek silouette but I also wanted straps. She admitted that there was a limited selection of that type of dress at that store, but that did not phase her in finding the few dresses that met my criterion. She also suggested that if I found a strapless dress I liked, they could possibly add straps during the alterations process. I was not interested in this, but it was very nice of her to offer up. We found about a half a dozen gowns and the last dress I tried on turned out to be "the" dress. In the interest of full disclosure, I did not buy the dress from Weddings by Debbie (see my review of Ventura's Bridal) simply because the store was about an hour away from my home and getting there for pick-up and alternations would have been to burdensome with my schedule. However, I definately recommend this place for brides -- its not the newest or most glamorous, but the were very pleasant to work with. more

I went to Weddings by Debbie on a whim after being recommended by two friends. I wasn't even planning on having a long dress but made an appointment for later that day and was very glad I did. It was the second (and last) place I went to. The atmosphere and setting is beautiful - very "Pretty Woman" - with more viewing space than any other salon I've been in, mirrors everywhere and very generous dressing rooms. There is a huge selection of dresses and they are laid out by price range (you fill in a short survey so that your assistant can steer you away from the $5000 dresses when your budget is $700-$1000) and by fullness of skirt so it's easy to find something in your range and style. My assistant Kate pulled a few dresses for me to try as I figured she was the expert and I ended up buying the third or fourth one I tried on. The dress is beautiful and I was given a great discount as I bought it off the shop floor (although it looked immaculate as if it had never been tried on) which made it very affordable. Kate was fun, patient, personable and very knowledgeable and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for help in choosing your dress. My dress is currently with the alterations department who are doing a great job and I am really looking forward to wearing it on the big day. more

It was recently brought to my attention that Tricia was the reason I found my perfect dress. I am sure that she told me when I was there the first time, but I was probably too overwhelmed for it to click. I cannot thank her enough for her intuition and for getting me to think out of the box. Because of this I am going to be in the most amazing dress I would never found otherwise. I really enjoyed meeting her and it was a pleasure working with her. I found her to be very knowledgeable, helpful and most of all personable. more
