Unfortunately, americans go for flash over flavor and like sheep to the moon, to bad thai resturants because thats what they've heard about - enter typhoon where even the staff dont correctly pronounce the entrees. This is an obscure, badly located resturant with the best thai food left in the state. If you question that for a second - take a look at the specials, which are written in Thai. \r

Sadly i think this place wont make it much longer. authentic places never do. There used to be an outstanding Thai place on beaumont, you know it's good when every Thai PSU student can be found there daily. It died. I guess their pad thai was unfamiliar to the olive garden patrons. \r

i highly recommend you get a group together and try this place before its gone and all you have left are chain places at mall food courts. Order everything off the daily special and share with your friends. Unfortunately this place is getting a reputation for being cheap and having big portions. The innocent owners have even put up bad newspaper reviews that emphasize this. It is cheap. It is also better at three times the price than anything you can get at an expensive McThailand in the pearl. If you understand taste does not equal price, this is the place for you. If not, stay at typhoon.
