After misdiagnosing (and never following up) on my cat who subsequently died from metastatic cancer 3 years ago, I made the mistake of nearly repeating history by bringing her geriatric litter mate to Dr. Goldenberg with what appeared to be a feline gastroenteritis - Outrageous prices, long uncomfortable waits, history taken by techs (!!!) and no more than two minutes spent with my cat by the good Dr. himself. Upon a return visit three days later (as my cat was not improving), Dr. Goldenberg spent now ONE minute with my cat and ordered via his tattooed and ESL receptionist a REPEAT battery of tests (plus an expensive assortment that were absolutely unnecessary) - Several were the very same tests that had been performed 3 days prior! After being badgered two or three times by said ESL receptionist for a decision during which she and Goldenberg were audibly arguing over the estimate in the hall outside our exam room (the most attention paid to us, no pun intended, since our arrival), we demanded her CBC results and x-rays and got the hell out of there - The Dr. refused to even give our acutely dehydrated cat rudimentary fluids without admitting her (at a cost of almost $1,300 - the 'minimum' estimate). At our Manhattan clinic (where we immediately went) we were treated with genuine respect and concern - our cat is hospitalized there as I type - :*-(
Pros: If you live in Sunnyside, it's convenient.
Cons: If you live in Sunnyside, it's convenient to bypass this clinic and visit one that's staffed by competents, be it in Queens or Manhattan.
