I've been Dr. Bray's patient for two years and actually saw the doctor only once -- and that was because I needed special tests run before major surgery, otherwise I've been seen by nurse practitioners. The NPs are fine, and I know they are well-educated medical professionals, but I think it would be good customer service for the doctor to introduce herself to new patients on their first visit, if possible. I didn't even know what she looked like until she ""had"" to see me a couple months ago. Her name alone is on the sign outside, after all. I was in a giant bureaucratic HMO for 12 years, and saw my primary care physician at least once a year (probably went to the doc 2-3 times a year on average). Again, I'm not anti-nurse practitioner, but I do actually want to see the doctor on occasion.
