I did not go to the Salon in Gastonia, instead I received a flyer for the new one opening in ParkTowne Village. I'll admit I was skeptical about going to a place giving away free haircuts, I wasn't sure if I would have a ""beauty school experience (disaster)"" or what i would walk out of there looking like. But I was very surprised with the place. My stylist was very knowledgable, very confident cutting my curly hair, and actually happy to do it. They used Tigi products, which i love, and my stylist knew which shampoo would work with my unruly hair. The cut was great, and she even showed me a new way to style it, having me practice while i was there to be sure i would be comfortable doing it at home. The stylists all seem to work together well and enjoy their jobs, the place was clean and simply decorated, with striking photography on the walls, and location is perfect, nestled between Massage Envy, a yoga place, and a nail salon.
