I purchased a bedroom set (for my 11 year old son) a coffee table and end tables, spending over $1,000. Everything was fine at first, the sales lady, although, hard to understand, was very kind and prefessional. I purchased the furniture on a Sunday, and they were suppose to deliver on the following Tuesday. I was told to call a specific number on Monday after 3 to find out what time Tuesday they would be there. I had made sure to tell them that (like most people) I work from 8am to 5pm, and that there would be no one there to accept the furniture until after 5. So when I called on Monday after 3pm, they (apparently didn't understand what I had meant, when I told them about my work hours or maybe they didn't care) had scheduled me for a 1pm to 3pm drop off. I immediately called the customer service line, and explained the situation to the ""customer service"" rep, and she said she would put a memo on my invoice for the delivery company that I would not be there till after 5pm. She then told me that the next time they could deliver would be on Thursday, and that I would need to call the ""specific number"" AGAIN, after 3pm on Wednesday. I was convinced that my problem was solved, until...... I called on Wednesday. They had then, scheduled me for a 12pm to 2pm delivery (which is of course and hour earlier than my previous one) so I then proceeded to call, once again, the customer service line, where they told me that the woman I spoke with earlier was wrong for telling me that she could put a memo on the invoice, cause they can't do that. Basically the delivery company that actually delivers the furniture is contracted through Mathis Brothers, so they can't insure ANY delivery times to anyone...unless you want to pay an extra $25.00 and then they will deliver it after a certain time. I finally just canceled my order and am now just wanting for the money to appear in my bank account. I will keep you posted on how painful THIS process will be!
