My fiance lived here before they were taken over my Karam and became Leland Point. The old management was fantastic, Karam is horrible. We live in a townhome, which I have few complaints about. They are a nice size, and since we have central air(one of the few ones that do), heat isn't a problem. The only main complaint I have is that the walls are paper thin. We often hear and smell what our neighboors are doing/cooking/smoking. Management is absolutely insane though! People were going through the dumpsters at night and throwing trash out of them. Something with my name on it was tossed out and Leland Point tried to charge me $140 for "clean-up fees!" I fought it (I had to go over the heads of anyone local) and had my fees refunded, but not after being made to feel like I was white trash. Our air conditioner broke in the middle of summer and it took them over three weeks to fix because the people that installed it were sub-contractors and therefore Leland Point wasn't responisble for fixing it. It took over 20 phone calls over three weeks to get it fixed. Parking is insane also. It used to be permit parking only on the street, but Leleand Point didn't renew their contract with the police dept, so anyone can park there. It's especially hazardous at night and in the winter as they do not shovel or plow and the lighting is less than adequate. Don't even try to break your lease agreement. We're moving out of state (two months earlier than our lease allows) and they are threatening legal action unless they recieve payment in full. We have tried to set up a payment plan, sublet, anything, but they will not work with us. They also don't return phone calls unless you want to move in. They may seem nice at first, but they turn their backs after the first few months. They aren't even less expensive than the nice apartments around here! We pay $750 for a two bedroom townhome and it is NOT worth it.
