The apartment is in walking distance to a Foodland and other shopping, and on the bus line so if you don't have a car it's awesome! There's a pool and work out room at the office....

I have (unfortunately) been a resident here for only a little over 4 months, and I am literally counting the days until I leave. Nothing but problems since I moved in. Bugs, noisy neighbors, trash everywhere, icy steps since winter has set in, this list could go on and on. People are moving out in droves! (All except the noisy ones) \r \r The bug problem has been the worst. Have never had bugs of any kind until I moved here. Management did not care or even try to resolve the problem. Had to get the Health Department and the Office of the Attorney General involved. And I still have bugs! \r \r Have literally had enough and have consulted with an attorney about breaking my lease. So long Leland Point! \r \r Update: Did not move out of this apartment until July of this year, so wound up spending an entire year at Leland Point. Was the longest, most stressful and horrible year of my life! \r \r In the end, I not only had to deal with roaches (since day one!), but also with bed bugs. Would wake up daily with red welts all over me for months. And management refused to do a thing about it! Even after being put on notice by the Health Department. \r \r And due to the bed bugs, I had to throw everything away. My mattress, box springs, all pillows, and my bedding. All purchased new when I moved in there. Am out well over $2,000. But was a small price to pay to be away from that place. I literally cried with relief when I drove away for the last time. more

We've been living here for over three years, and this place is terrible. We haven't had a bedbug problem like these other folks, but we have to deal with trash and dog feces laying everywhere, rude residents, and a friendly but ineffective staff. They transfer all of our complaints to a property manager, who usually ignores our issues. Our dryer vent is broke, our tub was so gross they painted over it and the paint has been peeling, the kitchen tiles are crumbling, and if it dips below 30 degrees, we have to use a space heater or freeze. They fix up the empty apartments and the front office to attract new residents, but once they have you in, they'll start ignoring you. I know it's cheap, but isn't a nice place to live worth the extra money? more

Bed bugs don't ask nicely 4/2/2012

Within two months of moving here, had trouble with bed bugs. I swear the building was already infested when I moved in. You have to pay for the bed bug extermination (in your lease) and the exterminators don't really do a thorough job, as I'm still finding bugs. My body itches and I may take them to court to break my lease, I can't take it much longer. it's not a bad location and the rent is cheap, but it's honestly not worth it. Spend a little more money and find somewhere else. You'll be doing yourself a favor. Pros: null Cons: null more

The Worst Complex Around 2/5/2009

TO ALL READERS: DON"T BE AFRAID TO TAKE THESE PEOPLE TO COURT!! Leland Point has all ready been sued for thousands of dollars because of their neglect and the parties have won. The township needs to be hounded, housing authority, the attorney generals office and all other facilities but you can win. Side walks and driveways go unshoveled, firedoors are broken, security buildings are no longer secure, homeless live in the buildings, kids set of firealarms, etc. I know this for a fact because I lived there. Don't stop fighting for your home. Pros: nothing Cons: Maintenance, Office Personal, Communications, on and on more

STAY AWAY 2/18/2008

My fiance lived here before they were taken over my Karam and became Leland Point. The old management was fantastic, Karam is horrible. We live in a townhome, which I have few complaints about. They are a nice size, and since we have central air(one of the few ones that do), heat isn't a problem. The only main complaint I have is that the walls are paper thin. We often hear and smell what our neighboors are doing/cooking/smoking. Management is absolutely insane though! People were going through the dumpsters at night and throwing trash out of them. Something with my name on it was tossed out and Leland Point tried to charge me $140 for "clean-up fees!" I fought it (I had to go over the heads of anyone local) and had my fees refunded, but not after being made to feel like I was white trash. Our air conditioner broke in the middle of summer and it took them over three weeks to fix because the people that installed it were sub-contractors and therefore Leland Point wasn't responisble for fixing it. It took over 20 phone calls over three weeks to get it fixed. Parking is insane also. It used to be permit parking only on the street, but Leleand Point didn't renew their contract with the police dept, so anyone can park there. It's especially hazardous at night and in the winter as they do not shovel or plow and the lighting is less than adequate. Don't even try to break your lease agreement. We're moving out of state (two months earlier than our lease allows) and they are threatening legal action unless they recieve payment in full. We have tried to set up a payment plan, sublet, anything, but they will not work with us. They also don't return phone calls unless you want to move in. They may seem nice at first, but they turn their backs after the first few months. They aren't even less expensive than the nice apartments around here! We pay $750 for a two bedroom townhome and it is NOT worth it. more

Worst place EVER 2/17/2008

I wish I could give negative stars!! This was the worst place to live - not only does the area have high crime It's loud - people screaming in the street at all hours - ALL HOURS - I had a guy selling "things" (This site won't let me use the word...) in front of my building. There were always shopping carts left in front of the buildings. We went two weeks without heat - and we called every day to have the management fix it - we were told "Not having heat is not an emergency". I can?t even go on with the hell we went through. But even worse - the management does not care - AT ALL. IT IS A SLUM!!! We were so happy when we found a house in South Park ? we couldn?t get out fast enough! more
